Kids In Glass Houses - Saturday

The video is very much in a 'beatle's' theme at the beginning when the black and white effect
is used, the theme is carried on with the way in which the band are holding their instruments
when they are performing in the black and white effect as well. After this, colour is introduced
and it adds a sense of glam rock to the video. The story starts off very slow, this is to show that it is very early, during the verse. When the chorus starts the band liven up and the cuts speed up slightly. "I've grown to love my new routine" this is why the same shots have been used everyday in the video, it shows the routine which the front man goes through everyday, the routine being waking up at 9am, putting on whatever clothes he decides to wear that day, then putting on his shoes, walking past the girl and finally meeting up to play with the band.
During the chorus's in the song, the band change costumes in each one, this is in sync with everyday that passes in the video, this may be done to show that the band are getting more immersed in their performance as the video goes on. the lighting also gets brighter as the video progresses, their instruments also change along with their clothing, this is all in sync with the more movement the members in the band begin to do the longer the song goes on. their hairstyles also change with the theme of each day.
Many wide shots and close ups are used throughout the video, the wide shots have been used to show the background of each setting during the story, and the close ups are mainly used on the front man to show emotion and how he is feeling. towards the end a low angle, wide shot is used with the band playing, this makes it seem that we are looking up at them, making them seem big.
